My journey threw understanding and learning the different programs that are involved in digital art.
What it means for me personally to be an artist is to make artwork that feeds the soul and helps you grow as a person, whether emotionally or in skill. I feel that most of the revered or loved artwork is solely beautiful and esthetically pleasing instead of art that makes the artist happy or fulfilled. This has definitely been exasperated by social media and the need to make an impression and become recognized somehow.
Personally, some of the best artwork that I've created has been art that has helped me heal instead of expressing my emotions or a situation that I found difficult. The artwork may not be good art, but I loved it and definitely cherished it more because I can see every mistake and flaw, and I love every bit of it.
